I can only speak for Fi 2A3 monos driving Lowthers - RCA single-plates are the most musical and realistic sounding 2A3's especially for vocal and instrumental, with AV2A3M mesh as close 2nd. When idling, the RCA SP's are also quieter than AV2A3M mesh. I've been listening to some chorus recordings today, and the playback with RCA SP just took my breath away (maybe a bit exaggerated, but you get my point). AV2A3M sometimes excel in different music material/recordings so your mileage may vary. I have not tried JJ and EML, but I too wish that EML mesh could be more reliable.
