Mak,Listen... When I was in college the proffesor and tech that where showing me tube stuff told me one thing. Use the tube for what it was expected and it will do you no wrong. So I see in some mag someone triode wiring a ST70. I run in and ask about doing this they said bring you r amp in. So I brought in my Mark III and ST70. We tested it first in Pentode then triode wired. What a mistake...
Listen use the tube for what it is intended as. Not something it's not...
I am not saying if the tube is a deflector or something non-audio it can't be used in audio. I am saying don't convert pendodes into triodes it's a waste of time and energy.
