RE: room dimensions

Hi all, my new house is finished finally and I have moved in permanently. I included a new schematic picture of the living room/listening room. There are wooden (Luxaflex) blinds in front of the windows. The room is physically quite symmetrical, but acoustically certainly not! The floor consists of ceramic tiles and I don't have a rug yet.
Although the room is very lively, the sound is quite decent. I hear an level imbalance though between the right and left speaker. To hear the sound emanating from the center I have to give the left channel a +3dB boost. My questions are: 1. What do you think of this room? 2. Could the +3dB difference in sound level be due to room acoustics and if yes, what can be done to alleviate this? 3. Do you think a wall rug at the right side of the right speaker could have a positive effect? Thank you in advance.

Chris
