You'll probably be successful making wood panel traps to target 50 Hz. The issue is if two will be enough. As you know, with bass traps, surface area is everything.

One solution is to build panel traps flat onto the front and rear walls, then put your MondoTraps in front (but not touching the wood). That way you can cover much more total surface, and have the best of both trap types. Really low frequencies that get through the MondoTraps will then be absorbed by the panel traps.
