Yes.

Years ago Jon had instructions for a "quick and dirty bass trap" which was made that way, though I can't remember whether he made it square (4 sides) or triangular as you suggest. He eventually replaced that design with his current "quick and dirty" design of stacked fibreglass rolls because it was even quicker and easier for those who did not want to build the cylindrical traps.
