My first post here. I usually hang out at the vinyl asylum. I posted this over there recently and someone guided me here. Anyway, here's my question:
We’re moving into a new home in a couple of weeks. Eventually, I hope to put a dedicated listening room in the walkout basement. Until we can finish the basement, I’ll have to use the “bonus” room over the garage as a combination office and listening space. (The living room will be pretty much filled with a piano and the family room is open to the kitchen and it’s noise.)
The bonus room is a decent size at 17’8 x 15’6, but it has those goofy angled walls on two sides. (see picture) So, my question is should I position the speakers on each side of the end window shown in the pic, or beneath one of the side, slanted walls?
I know I can just try it both ways and I’m sure I will, but was just interested in your thoughts on the matter.
BTW, the stuff in the picture is the previous owner’s.
Thanks!
Sam
