I am about to place some 24x 48" 2"thick plywood backed dense corning 703 panels at the 1st reflection points on my 8' ceiling. The room is 17 x 22 otherwise. I plan on using 2 panels per speaker, covering a 48"x48" area, each.
My questions are: 1)would an air gap between the back of the panels and ceiling help?
2) should I hang them so they are perpendicular to the ceiling, so say about 2" gap all the way around, or should I hang them with an angle facing the speakers, so say a gap 1" in the front and 3-4" in the back on each panel?
Thanks, Jim
