Most venetian style blinds I've seen are highly reflective and most roller blinds are too thin to be effective.

I seem to remember that Hunter Douglas claimed to have a blind design that was absorptive and I've provided a link below. I have no idea how effective they are.

Vertical blinds may be an option but I have no idea what is available or how absorptive any are.
