Yes, I did!!! You should know me better than that, David!!!It's because I read all of thos papers I can say with certainty that there is no evidence, at least not in those references, that reflections are a problem. I have the 2001 edition of Everest. If you read him carefully, he does not say anywhere, that reflections are a problem, or does he?
His recommendation to control lateral reflections by first eliminating the other ones, is based mainly on Olive's findings, that's ok but does not prove your point. Nothing in the references I'm mentioning supports your point, simple as that. Olive determined thresholds of both absolute detecetability and image shift. Does the fact that a reflection is above threshold mean that it is bad? Olve for one does not draw that conclusion. Toole for a second does not draw that conclusion either, he does quite the opposite in his 2006 AES paper which cites most of the references I have on my list.
The anecdotal evidence you are providing is of the kind "I prefer the sound with reflection treatment in place". That's hardly the kind of evidence that is necessary to prove that reflections are a problem, don't you think?
I must note that up to now only one inmate has asked me for a copy of my draft writeup about early reflections.
