Wow david-- thatis certainly a different response than Mr. winer has proposed.

I have a friend who swears by the winer placement regimen-- so I know it can have its merits. He is setting up his whole custom home theater room with it in mind.

I guess I am not technically adhering to the Audio Physic setup, as I am not a huge fan of a true nearfield , wide-spaced speaker set-up. Never like having my speakers almost in the center of my friggin' room!! People can of course argue that's because my speakers are not first-order and so not optimal and all that jazz or whatever.

In any case I have strongly considered bass traps of any kind. I spoke to the Gik guy about tri-traps-- and those may be on my 'after-christmas' wish list. Is that the kind of thing you think would help? To us lay people it always sounds counterintuitive to put more ABSORPTION into a room that is relatively bass deficient in the first place-- what's the theory (briefly) behind that again??

Also-- you agree with Mr. Winer that something behind my head could be a good thing? A broad band absorber? I think Gik has the 244 panel or something for that. Ethan-- I ask again what product you carry that does this--

The front wall should not be treated or what?

Hu
