Yes, that's great. If you have the luxury of defining the size and shape of the room, you can tweak to your heart's content using my ModeCalc program available for free HERE.

However, as Klaus explained, "ideal" room dimensions are somewhat of a myth. There are definitely some shapes to avoid, such as square or cube or even multiples like 10 by 20 feet. Ergonomics and what you can afford to build are important too. Further, no matter how good or bad a room shape is, bass traps and other acoustic treatment will go a long way toward reducing those problems.
