Thanks for such a detailed reply. Provided me with lots of points to consider. Really appreciated!!

I wish I get a 26 x 16 x 10 room :) .
Unfortunately finding an apartment with such a room (or similar ) is very rare. And not to mention the cost of such apartment!!

My preference is nearfield ( and only stereo ). I like to listen at the equilateral triangle position with the speakers ( of say 7'-8' a side ).
So I guess a room of the size similar to what I mentioned earlier should go well with my preference.

Lets hope for the best!!
