I agree with Klaus that small rooms don't really have reverb, but they do have reflections. One big problem with reflections is the comb filtering they create. This is a specific type of frequency response error that creates a series of many peaks and deep nulls. When you look at the response graph it resembles the teeth of a hair comb, hence the name.
I use the ETF software, and one of its features is showing reflections versus time. If all reflections are at least 15 dB below the direct sound, that ensures minimal comb filtering. Here are two articles about this:
