Hi all, I've finally decided to build a dedicated room, but I need some advice on available acoustic designer/builders out there. I know Rives has a very good rep, but he can't be the only reputable only. I recently visited a dedicated room built by Goodwins Highend in Waltham, MA. To be honest, that's the best sounding room I have ever been in. No matter the what setup was used, the sound was just incredible. I have never been in a Rives' room, so I will need to do that in the near future. BTW, check out these links:

The picture shown in the second link is the room I was in. It's a beautiful room, but hugely expensive (around $200k). Now I'm a believer, the room is the most important component of your stereo system. Goodwins approach appears very different than other acoustic designers out there.

Anyone have experience with other acoustic designer/builders including Rives? Sorry if I'm not allowed to post non-Rives material - I will delete this thread if it is inappropriate.
