First you need to decide which matters more - sound getting in and out of the room (isolation), or the quality of the sound inside the room. These are competing goals. You can have both! But it's much more expensive. If you're not worried about disturbing anyone else, or being disturbed while listening, then we can proceed directly to treating the room's acoustics for good sound.
