Tumara already gave you the right advice. I'll add that I have 40 various RealTraps panels in my living room (see below) and it's not too dead. This is a big feature of MiniTraps and MondoTraps - their front surface has a membrane that's semi-reflective at mid and high frequencies. This not only increases their absorption at bass frequencies, it also avoids making a room too dead as can happen with panels made of foam or plain fiberglass.
