I´m thinking about using gipsyum boards to build a second wall, and fill the space with some mineral wool.
The room is rectangular: 6,5 m x 4 x 3.
is there any way a i could distribute them , in a way that some of them could actually act as broadband bass traps? Is it a good idea to distribute them to be non parallel to the original wall (my logic is that, if the gap between the gipsium board and the original concrete wall is variable, so will be the frequencies that will be absorbed, am i wrong?)? Is there any criteria i could follow in order to achieve the best resoult possible without putting proper bass traps, wich are not in my budget at the moment? And how big should tha gap be? Should i put rubber somewhere in order to isolate teh original concreet walls from vibrations? Thanks to everybody in advance.
