JB,That 30-35% is the total including carpet, but understand that carpet - even really thick carpet - doesn't absorb much below about 1 KHz. This is one big reason to have a reflective floor, and then apply treatment on the ceiling. You can put much thicker materials on the ceiling than on the floor!
