The Krell should be ok. Even though it is capable of drawing a tremendous amount of power, in a typical system it probably isn't. If it does tend to draw a bit more than the PPP can handle (say on turn on) then the PPP will connect the Krell directly to the wall for a brief instant to feed it, then revert back to regenerated power. You should be fine.1) What will the unit do should it encounter a large under or over voltage? Turn off?
Depends on how large. The unit can go as low as about 95 volts and as high as about 135. Then it will shut off.
2) Is there any kind of load indicator/display on the front (% of 1500W output, for example) to measure just how much your equipment is pulling and how close you are to using up the PPPs' ability?
Nope. Typically no need since the PPP will be handling everything anyway.
3) What happens if you overdrive the unit? Bypass to AC line? Is that indicated on the display?
Bypass to the AC line. It is not indicated but extremely rare and usually too brief to be seen.
