I'm just auditioning the PS Audio 500 here in Europe. It really sounds good with my gear, but I'm just wondering if this unit is really designed to deliver 500 AC watts of continuous power or if 500 watt is rather its peak capability. My second question is what the consumption of the unit "per se" is. Say, if my gear is demanding 100 watts from PS Audio 500, what will the likely consumption of the unit be (which I will ultimately see in my energy bill) ?
