I guess I wasn't doing something right...don't know what. It's working. I'm running a Goldring Eroica high-output MC. Its rated output is 2.5mV. Since I replaced my Goldring GL2200 (6.5mV output) I was looking for a way to make up for the lost output. So now I have the coarse setting on the 2nd-highest setting, the fine control knob at the 1:00 position, and my 50-watt tube integrated's volume at 11:00 to get to my usual listening level. All is like I wanted.
Does this seem like it would be running the GCPH at a good optimum level?
