Confused about PowerPlays

Looking at the PowerPlay 8000 and 9000 pictures on their respective web pages, the pictures are identical, and both show a captured cord. I'm thinking those aren't correct pictures, right? How about some correct pictures?

The info pages say the PowerPlay 9000 has PowerPort outlets, but the 8000 doesn't. What's the difference? in particular, what's qualifies an outlet for the designation "PowerPort?" Obviously the "PowerPort" in the Quintessence, Duet, and so on looks nothing like the PowerPort outlet sold as a standalone outlet or used in the Humbuster III or the Soloists, and without a real picture of them I don't even know what those on the 9000 look like.
