I have a favorite footer for use under most components: The Boston Audio Design TuneBlocks. We have used the TuneBlocks under the Premier to very good effect in show demo systems. While many footers seem to affect the tonal balance of components (acting as tuning tools), the TuneBlocks seem to be tonally neutral, and their effect seems to be the same with most components. Use of the TuneBlocks results in a lower noise floor, with the resultant improved low level detail retrieval, and subsequent improved soundstaging, especially soundstage depth.
