Not being aware of another explanation doesn't make this one valid. An 11° difference would represent several watts less power consumption. Have you actually measured the power consumption with each cord? There's no rational reason to believe a cord with less resistance would result in your TV using less power.

I don't understand your logic. If you think the difference in picture quality is worth the extra power consumption, I understand that, but how many other TVs you have seems irrelevant.
