hey thanks for tryin to answer my question. I do have about a 11 degree drop in heat that radiates from the back of the panel. Thats after havin the tv on for an hour, with the same hd channel on. I'm thinkin this cord actually makes a difference. I have no other explanation.
I wasn't worried about power consumption since this plasma is the only one i have. i did get 2 other lcds. and yes in general, 42" plasmas run hot and run about 300-350 watts
