Finally confused and need assistance

Well, I have decided to get a unit to replace my trusty Tice unit. The Quintessence is at the top of my budget. However, I am officially confused due to all of the differently described units and lack of reviews.

DVD player, 50" plasma, cable box, two electrostatic speakers (2 ohms or so at 20k, preamp and 500 watt stereo amplifier.

Here are the candidates:
Transparent Powerwave 8
Quintessence
Furutech e-TP80
Ultralink Ultra Power PowerGrid PGX-500

Why should I buy any of these rather than the Quintessence? Please give me some sort of rational description (other than we are the best). You are the best because?
