Hi Amdan, sorry for the slow reply, having internet problems...
Your incoming AC figures sound pretty clean, I daresay many of my issues would evaporate if my supply was that good. Perhaps I should get that dedicated line. Hate to make the investment when only renting - but I seem to be stuck here forever anyway.
I'll be interested to hear how you go with the transformer - are you looking to eliminate hum? I can just hear my hum (PPP & components) from the listening position but not a big problem in that regard. It worries me more that the associated vibration is compromising my digital source. The appearance of hum really annoyed me after getting none from their previous model (P500). So please let me know your results. Does it look like being an expensive option?
The Cawsey Powerbox has been in situ for a while, but I seem to remember that the main improvement was in timing. With the powerbox in place, the timing seemed to come to life and, more importantly, stay there, even when the mains is especially poor. As a result I can now always turn the system on and get a musical performance which wasn't the case before, despite the PPP. Detail and tonal colour also improved. That said, it still only shines on a good night (but boy, it really can shine). I have read several other post here and on PS's own forum that recommend pre-filtering the PPP. I chose the Powerbox because I also use Cawsey's cables (awesome) and I think I'd lost a little faith with PS given the PPP's limitations, although I think it is a good product for the price.
That said, I'll be looking out for the return of the PS Humbuster as a possible means to eliminating my hum.
Their new transport also sounds promising, since I can't afford a Nova Physics Memory Player (now there's a strangely marketed product!!).
