The dedicated lines made a significant difference. However, the PPP made an even greater difference. Note that I installed the dedicated lines before I bought the PPP. I don't know if a dedicated line will give an incremental benefit over just the PPP alone. I can try this out for you if you would like but I will need to get a much longer cord for the PPP for this to happen. I am intending to get a long Lessloss power cable soon so will be able to test this scenario when I get the new cable.
I had not heard of the Powerbox. What improvements did you get with it? I am also keen to improve the power to my system. I have noticed that the system sounds best in the morning (up to about 10 - 11am). I attribute this to the power supply though I have no proof. It would be interesting to try out two PPPs in a daisy chain.
Whereabouts in Sydney are you? I am in the inner west and my input THD is around 2.1%. My output is usually between 0.4 and 0.6 %. My input voltage is usually around 250V. It will be interesting to see how these figures differ when I plug the PPP into the old circuit. I might try this out with the help of an extension cord.
As for component hum - I have the same problem with the PPP. My amp hums now. It didn't before. However, it is not audible from the listening position so I haven't done anything about it.
