Is multiwave setting on premier safe for turntables?

I'm currently using a P300 for all my sources and preamps, including my turntable. My question concerns the PPP - in reading the manual and other materials it looks like MW setting is just some sort of enhanced sin wave - is it safe for turntable motors? Also, can the frequency be changed to 81hZ in order to operate the TT at 45rpm?
