Yeah it is pretty much an audio curse that has followed me from house to house for 15 years.

I have now picked up an Ultimate outlet which takes the place of the Furman regulator. Plugging in the Ultimate outlet returned the bass to normal levels and currently my Audio system sounds like it should whihc is really good right now.

The ultimate outlet definitely helped so far. The real test will be weeks and months into the future. My audio system can sound good for weeks to months at a time and then go through some severe hell for up to a year.
And when I say audio system that the only thing it has in common with previous incarnations of my system. This issues transcends replaced equipment, so even completely replacing gear results in a short time of stability then extreme variences in sound quality.

Now that I have the Ultimate outlet I'm going to get a couple of noise Harvesters and then top it off with a PPP in a few months.

At that point I feel I should have fairly clean stable power.

My recent upgrade have been designed around trying to build a system immune to bass variances.

I got a Lexicon 8B to go along with my Bryston amp so I could use the balanced outputs. I upgraded to Gallo 3.1 speakers and a Gallo AV center speaker. Gallo speakers have no real cross overs, so that would eliminate some weird crossover problem causing Bass issues. My Rear speakers are Magnepan which also do not have any real crossovers. All my power cables are PS audio and I have arranged all my cables to not touch each other, I have also have a ton of RCA caps to prevent RCA leakage on unused RCA connectors.

So far non of these system upgrades have completely prevented the bass variances I've experienced over the years, where at times the Bass in my system will almost completely dispaear leaving my audio system very cold and shrill. My system sounds a lot better now then it did before but still the sound quality varies way to much. So now it was time to attack the power.

After that is done if I still have Bass issues I'm just going to have to accept it and live with it as annoying and disappointing as it may be. I'll have to conclude it's either in my head even though other people have heard my system freak out or I'm some how giving off some weird magnetic field that effects any audio product I own.
