Ping Paul: Inverter for P-300

I want clean AC in a 12V environment. I want to get a 12VDC to 120VAC inverter then plug the P-300 into it. I think I remember it wants 600 watts so I was thinking I'd get one rated for at least 1K but I'm worried about the (lack of)quality of AC they produce. Do you have a recommendation on a good inverter to use with it? Thanks in advance.
