Power product for ceiling mount projector

Better to:

1) plug the projector in a multi-outlet power product which is 30ft away (subject to other nearby interference?), or:

2) Single/dual outlet product and have it mounted next to the projector?

If answer is 2, what would you suggest? Found out from Paul that Soloist doesn't work in 230V countries, so that is unfortunately out of the equation.
