Paul-
I am conncting to Rick Cullen and EJ Sarmento at Cullen Circuits, as you have suggested, and have sent them pictures of the clearly different innards of the amps.
No, Rick did not modify them. The first amp, which I purchased from Cullen, was made by them, and was presented as a stock Trio A100. It is a marvelous sounding unit. The second amp, also presumably an A100, was purchased elsewhere, not from Cullen. It doesn't seem to sound as good, and the number and arrangement of what I take to be capacitors is different. There is also a large filter on the AC input of the non-Cullen
I don't want to make this a complicated matter, as I have just been diagnosed with cancer, and will probably not be able to give it a lot of attention in the near to medium future. But I really would like to sit back and enjoy the stereo system I have dreamed of for so many years.
Who is Barrows?
