Well, as with any distributor situation in another country, only those units purchased within Canada will be serviced by our distributor. If you bought one in the States then you'll have to return to the dealer you bought it from or direct to the factory for service.

It's a sticky situation but you can imagine if the distributor is having to pay out of his pocket for the repair of a unit not sold within his country, then it's not fair to him.

Certainly there are a lot of good deals in the States on used equipment but just be careful as that equipment will not be serviced for free under warranty in Canda by the distributor. Just can't require him to do that.

As you point out, with the dollar and the Loon at parity, it really makes no sense to buy in the States.
