I have plugged all my equipment into the PPP. Would I be better off getting a Duet for the power amp (Bryston 14 B ST - 570Watts)?
I tried the Bryston straight into the wall as well as into the PPP and found that the sound was better with plugging it into the PPP.
Another point to note is that I found that the PPP works better when it has a bigger load. So I wonder if having the Bryston plugged into the PPP improves the sound of the CDP and pre-amp.
To explain the finding above: I have two CDPs. I was listening to one (Arcam) with the other switched off. I then turned the other one on ( Cary 303/300) whilst listening to the Arcam and there was a noticeable improvement in the bass. I presume it was the additional load that made the improvement but I really am just guessing this since I read another post in your forum where a similar claim was made.
