I'm glad to see Paul offering rational advice at the potential risk of losing a big sale. ;-)
All of PSA's power products do two things: First, they provide protection against surges and spikes. Second, they fix problems in your power. If you had perfect power coming out of the wall then you would only need the protection features.
It seems like a lot of people are so obsessed with the pursuit of perfect power that they're spending gobs of money to fix problems they may not even have. Since no one has *perfect* power there is always some benefit to cleaning up what comes from the wall, but everyone is going to have different levels of issues to address. Given what a PPP does I think you'd have to have some pretty dirty power to warrant adding a Quintessence into the chain. Frankly, unless you've encountered a problem with the PPP you haven't mentioned here, I wouldn't trust a dealer who recommends spending that kind of money as a standard practice on a "solution" like this for a problem you probably don't have.
