An aside: yeah, the aftermarket powercord on my TV made a better picture

SO yes the fact the picture had less grain, better coor made my day.
And this is sort of like what is being discussed. A tweak should be able to work on a video disc as well as a music one.

I would look for 'less grain' greater contrast, better blacks, clearer color (less mud)
