Re: Try matching A-B volumes next time

You make a valid point. I thought a bit about the possibility of a volume difference and kind of wish I had used my Rat Shack SPL to eliminate this as much as possible. No volume difference was audible, but perhaps the difference was too subtle to notice. I am curious if cables of similar lengths and gauges can really produce different volumes?

(I should try another simple test -- use the same cable at all times, merely changing the volume by one increment. See if my wife reports the same differences in grain and brightness.)

BTW, my wife can barely figure out how to turn the system on, let alone swap cables! (I heard the same differences, but my test was not blind.)
