Cables in a chain causing distortion does not add nor multiply. And each has a different signal level so there are different distortion levels. It's difficult to find a number for all of this, but the usual analysis is to find the distortion from each cable in the chain and then "RSS" them together. That is, take the square Root of the Sum of the Squares of each distortion number:
Overall distortion=SQRT(cable1^2+cable2^2+cable3^2+...^2)
That would give you the final number. And that does not increase greatly as adding or multiplying. It usually means the largest distorting cable dominates the overall effect.
