"I come from the mainstream of technical sound whereas you come from an isolated and inwardly looking group with a set of beliefs that are in conflict with the mainstream."
Well, that explains it. You are an acolyte from the mainstream church of technical sound doing your sacred duty to try and save our sect by repeatedly asserting that our (flat-earth) beliefs are evil. I was wondering about the thick brown hooded robe.
I perceive that you personally don't understand the great mysteries but have sworn fealty to those whom you believe do, and that any disagreement is heresy. That explains the tenor of your posts, especially their abject lack of any technical awareness.
It also explains why you can find no value in AA, can learn nothing from our posts and are shocked at our presumption that we can, to any extent, understand and control our audio destiny. Even worse, we don't care what THEY think. However I assure you that there is gold among the tailings in this dump, but you've got to dig a little and have enough background to sniff it out.
As I see it the extant topology is seriously flawed, underspecified and poorly controlled. It's amazing that it works at all. To some extent the users can often ameliorate problems in a particular system by tweaking it. And here we are, chatting about that very process. I find the whole thing rather interesting and fun, but there's no accounting for tastes...
