For some strange reason your statement of "I am continuously awed in my own life how often the "real" solutions lines up perfectly with centuries old theories and solving these problems is often just a matter of me stepping back and seeing the theoretical big picture and not shoot from the hip popular lore." reminded me of some lyrics from a beautiful song. I think it was your "real" solutions lines up perfectly with centuries old theories comment that jogged my memory.

In any case this is what it reminded me of...

It is good for man to try all changes, progress and corruption, powers, peace and anguish, not to go down the dinosaur's way. Until all his capacities have been explored: and it is good for him to know that his needs and nature are no more changed, in fact, in ten thousand years than the beaks of eagles.
