courtesy of John Broskie: Take one of those cables with heavy-gauge conductors "for the bass notes" and thin conductors "for treble extension." Strip the insulation from the speaker end of the cable and attach the thin wires just to the woofer and the thick wires just to the tweeter. Ideally, no sound at all would come out of the speaker, right? certainly the speaker's measurable frequency response should be affected if the cables worked as advertised. Any bets on the actual outcome?
