The battles of words between Big Dan and E-Stat are legendary, and are among my personal favorites. I'd like to see (a la the debate between JA and Arny Krueger) full-on debates between those two, and between Posey and ANYBODY! :) NOt sure what E-Stat originally posted that pissed Dan off but perhaps it was just 'Stat's textbook "audiophile-ness", in the words of none other than TAH. Sorry if I misquoted but it was something like that.

I don't think it's "descriptor" and "object". I think it's two separate words, that together mean "two sides of the same cow".
