There's something amiss with the calculation result of -33dB corresponding to 0.56 percent. The formula for converting dB to percent voltage is as follows:
percent_voltage = 100 * 10^(dB/20)
This gives -40dB = 1 percent, -20dB = 10 percent, -60dB = 0.1 percent, etc.
For -33dB, this gives 2.24 percent. This assumes the signal represented as dB is just one frequency component. I'm not sure what the specific nature of the distortion of this test was.
