...that even though someone may demand proof of your listening experiences, you are under no obligation to provide it. As you said, this isn't life or death. There is no "burden of proof". People are free to believe or not, free to experiment or not. All I can tell you is that I test and/or audition components for my own purposes, not to provide some sort of guidance to the objectivists who wouldn't follow it anyway. They're free to do the work themselves.

Other than that tiny tidbit, I'd say Presto's post was spot on. On the other hand, so was yours.
