well, about all of it. Specific caricatures? What isn't? I stopped midway through for brevity.

In the case of the hi-fi fetishist the true object of his pleasure. the music, has been displaced. I met a guy like that when I worked at an audio store back in the 70s. Called him "Al Gear".

Musical pleasure (as with sexual pleasure) becomes dependent on the magical properties of the fetish, the audio equipment. Magical properties of the fetish? LOL!

This might make a decent SNL skit if done right. :)
