Your honesty is very refreshing! I was hoping to discover a common thread amongst those solid state amps that "needed" to warm-up before sounded their best, like your Nakamichi power amp ---{their Stasis design I assume}--- and my old Audio Analogue Puccini.

I don't see any common thread from the many informed responses here but, at least some others from both sides of the fence either agree that it happens at times or they've heard a difference on some solid state components.
