Besides. Have not capacitors (1 of the first three) been able to do their own memory trick by holding a charge? Better yet, the charge left represents a relationship between the capacitance and the applied voltage at the instant the voltage source was removed!!
So, Clark, a capacitor in a sense is BETTER than a logical memory of a 1 or a 0... the memory of a capacitor is analog to the resolution of one electrons energy level, a charge of 1 x 10E-19 Coulomb.
Ouch. That means even analog changes in discrete steps. Shudder at the thought! I wonder if there is any jitter?
