Hello Craig,

From what I've heard from people who's opinion I greatly trust once you've heard plasma ALL other tweeters seem like colored noise-makers in comparison. I'd imagine it's the same thing for this wider-range plasma driver as well. I believe it's mass issue which IMO is the reason why ribbons and ESLs sound so relatively uncolored as well.

My daughter is grown, married and still lives in Connecticut so I'd have no worries with any children touching a plasma driver but, if I had younger children I'd most likely build a wire cage with large holes and the plasma driver in the center at a distance from the cage that no one's fingers ----not even adults---- could possibly reach the plasma driver!

Look at the plasma tweeter in the link provided it has a wire ball around it for that exact purpose.
