Was your choice objective or subjective? Just kidding :-).
What's left is to encapsulate it within a tape construct such that the wires cannot punch through in any case to short...but yet the foam retains it's thickness.
Still wrestling with the external coat however. The flat braid conductors will stretch and contract as the cable is bent, so the foam/inner dielectric system with the two braids will move together nicely..but the outer coats, if not flexible, will tend to buckle on the inner radius.
My, my, I don't recall such complexity with original. A new and improved version? All so that I might hear a slight difference in a soundstage - of which I have no absolute reference? Cool!!
I knew being an audiophile was fun, if not bordering on insanity :-).
(As we can see, many have crossed the border here hehe).
I was thinking of a rubber membrane approach, somewhat like the type used to seal a custom shower pan... (betcha can figger what I'm doing at home, eh?
Building your own syncrotron whose vibration won't bother the neighbors?
